The Atelier sits on the former site of Makeway View, which is a 32-unit freehold condo built in 1989. Singapore developer Bukit Sembawang bought Makeway View through an en bloc sale in March 2018. 2019 URA Master Plan
With reference to the 2019 URA Master Plan, The Atelier falls under the purview of the Moulmein Planning Subzone. The subzone is a subset of the Novena Planning Area, which in turn is part of the Novena-Tanglin URA Planning Area. This URA Planning Area encompasses the two established and affluent residential estates of Tanglin and Novena.
Under the latest master plan, the Singapore Government will initiate various improvements to the infrastructure of the two estates.
Plans are afoot to build an 8-hectare Gallop extension to the Singapore Botanic Gardens. The stakeholders for the development of healthcare hub are the Ministry of Health (MOH), the National Healthcare Group and Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH), which is Singapore’s second biggest general hospital.
